Environmentally responsible holidays for a stay in the Bay of Somme.

Created in 2005, the Domaine du Val, nestling in the countryside of Grand Laviers, is just 10 miles from the Bay of Somme. This 3* tourism residence has 30 houses on stilts for a break with the family or friends far from the hassles of everyday life.

Creator of the Domain

We believe in our land. Loving the Earth means preserving it, protecting it and living in harmony with it. Creating a living space closer to this environment that's so fragile yet which feeds us was an obvious choice for us.

Our vision for the future and our lifestyle today are a matter of common sense and respect. We have the deep conviction that for the fulfilment of everybody we need a perfect balance between our economic, environmental and social actions. What's important is that what we are and what we do should be coherent.

The Domaine du Val has been a committed domain since its creation

The land is the main ingredient in its life philosophy: as proof, the environment was taken fully into consideration when building the domain, with wooden houses blending in naturally with nature.

Opening of the Domaine du Val with the accent on sustainable tourism. Choice of building houses on stilts and priority to wood as material.

2009

Participation in the creation of the Bay of Somme Zero Carbon association to promote environmentally friendly tourism in cooperation with other local actors.

2013

Introduction of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and the Lucie label committing us to fulfil new objectives towards a sustainable future and to do this continuously.

2023

We are continuing our approach to progress. Our new objective: to evolve towards energy sobriety by installing solar panels and heat pumps.
