The Domaine du Val is nestled in the countryside of the Baie de Somme, close to Abbeville, in the small village of Grand–Laviers, on the way to the sea.

The accommodation consists of 30 wooden houses bordering a valley, all south facing with a panoramic view of the surrounding countryside and the Abbeville golf course. Our guests are often nature enthusiasts, who come for a weekend to take in the ‘country air’ or a week to be surrounded by nature…

Deliberate and attractive choices:

Our guests feel at home straight away in our practical and comfortable houses; they appreciate the concept of ‘no frills accommodation’ comprising of warm and ‘green’ houses finished in red cedar, with Douglas pine floorboards and larch terrace fencing.
The Domaine is proud of its respect for the environment: nothing is imposed on our guests but everything here is interwoven with the common sense of country people. At the Domaine, we use eco-friendly cleaning products and recycling is encouraged…

The real ‘pulse’ of the residence is the club house which is open everyday: t’s a lively place where it’s great to have breakfast, relax in the lounge with a cup of tea or taste real authentic apple juice in the bar. Enjoy the indoor heated swimming pool, the fitness facilities, the children’s play ground…

The main asset of the Domaine is the countryside!

Our guests love the calm that envelops the place, the surrounding countryside and the successful integration with the landscape.
Their children cannot get enough of exploring the 3 hectares of nature on offer.
Last year, instead of adding trendy facilities, Xavier Mennesson, the owner, preferred installing an outdoor eating area with large wooden tables where all the family loves to eat in the great outdoors and where the seminar participants end the evening in the moonlight. Without forgetting the vegetable garden…

« This vegetable garden aims at giving kids from the city the opportunity to see nature grow and taste freshly harvested vegetables » explains Xavier Mennesson.

And this initiative is extremely popular: children and grown-ups love walking freely in the garden and freshly harvested vegetables are distributed twice a week to our guests.
